This introductory course introduces fundamental skills and safety practices essential for building a career foundation in the automotive industry. Students gain hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing automotive issues in line with the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) standards. Emphasis is placed on the theory and application of the eight ASE Maintenance & Light Repair (MLR) categories, equipping students with knowledge in critical automotive systems. This course serves as the first step in the ASE Education Foundation-Certified MLR automotive program, preparing students for advanced training in automotive technology. ICEV Safety Certification needs to be earned during this course.
