This advanced course equips students with specialized skills through immersive, real-world construction projects from design to completion. Students gain expertise in building codes, zoning, site preparation, and budgeting, and work with foundations, insulation, finishes, cabinetry, and more. The curriculum includes hands-on training in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, heating, masonry, roofing, and painting, with projects conducted outdoors in various conditions. Participation in Skills-USA is encouraged for additional industry exposure.
Students who complete this program may qualify for college credits at Keene State College or Central Maine Community College, making it ideal for those pursuing careers in construction and skilled trades. OSHA 10 Certification needs to be earned during this course.
