This course offers hands-on training for students pursuing a career in the food service industry, emphasizing recipe adjustments, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations. Students operate Mineral Springs Cafe, gaining in-depth experience in safety, sanitation, and professionalism. This course also focuses on technical skills beneficial for food service careers, preparing students to earn industry-recognized credentials. Students with Algebra 1 and Technical Writing experience may benefit from this course’s practical applications. ServeSafe Food Handling Certification must be earned during this course.
