Prerequisites: Successful completion of Aviation & Aerospace III or teacher recommendation.

 

This capstone course encourages advanced study in aviation and aerospace, focusing on commercial aviation, instrument flight, and complex aircraft systems. Students explore future trends and challenges in aviation, conducting research to envision the industry’s evolution over the next decade. As a capstone, students choose between two pathways:

● Pilot Capstone: Prepares students for the Private Pilot Knowledge Test and check-ride to earn private pilot certification.

● UAS Capstone: Prepares students for the Part 107 Remote Pilot Test, with added focus on entrepreneurial skills for drone-based business ventures.

Completing this course provides students with the skills and knowledge to pursue industry credentials and may yield up to 8 college credits at Keene State College.
