This advanced course prepares students for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certifications: the Private Pilot Knowledge Test or the Part 107 Remote Pilot Knowledge Test. Students engage in topics such as pre-flight procedures, airspace navigation, aviation regulations, radio communications, airport operations, and safety protocols. Flight planning instruction includes qualifications, weight and balance calculations, performance limitations, night operations, and navigation systems. Students interested in unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) explore topics like crew resource management, aviation weather impacts, and ethical practices in drone operation. By course end, students gain a robust understanding of aviation standards and safety, equipping them for FAA certifications and career readiness.
