Kennett High School’s Marketing students and DECA teamed up with Nestlenook Farm to create a brand-new holiday tradition for the valley—Twinkle in the Pines. This magical event, designed to celebrate the local community, brought together festive activities, a heartwarming cause, and student-driven innovation.
For just $20 per person, guests embarked on a sleigh ride through snow-dusted pines, crafted handmade holiday decorations, and enjoyed hot cocoa, all while contributing to a meaningful holiday initiative.
One of the night’s standout features was the Not Your Average Tree Auction, where 26 local businesses and Kennett High School clubs designed creative tabletop trees that showcased their unique brand or mission. These beautifully decorated trees were auctioned off, raising over $600 for Angels and Elves, a local organization dedicated to bringing holiday joy to families in need.
Adding a special touch to the event, Kennett students handcrafted ornaments and distributed them to local elementary schools, inviting young students to decorate them. These ornaments were later collected and displayed on a stunning Christmas tree at Nestlenook Farm, symbolizing the community’s creativity and holiday spirit.
Twinkle in the Pines was a resounding success, demonstrating the power of collaboration, creativity, and community engagement. Kennett High School’s Marketing students and DECA not only helped bring a new holiday tradition to life but also reinforced the importance of giving back and spreading joy during the season of giving.
